WWUTT 810 Q&A Matt Walsh's Old-Earth Creation Dilemma?

Hi Pastor Gabe. I just recently discovered it was you who did this podcast and it's very impressive. To the subject. You don't actually say whether you believe the universe was created in the six days but here are my thoughts. It seems clear to me that scripture does not claim a 6-day creation of everything including the universe. The first recorded words of God, he says, let there be light and that is associated with the first day. Gen1:1 we read, in the beginning God created the Heaven the Earth and the Earth was void. And we know it was under water. We also know from scripture that there is the third heaven, so I think it's easy to lay this out that's the heaven created in the beginning would be the universe. And the earth created was the void rock underwater. The Heaven and Earth made in the 6 days would be the atmosphere which is also called heaven and having brought the dry land out of the waters God also called that Earth. In fact day 4 speaks only about the making of the Sun and the Moon and does not say that the stars were made or created but says, "and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars." The Stars follow in the path of ruling over the night and not really even implied that they were made day 4. And it's never writte in that God created this in six days, it is always written in Scripture as God made Heaven and Earth in 6 days.
